You’re too close to see it, and too time-poor to fix it even if you could

You’re too close to your own business to see clearly what it actually needs next. It’s obvious when you look at a friend’s business from the outside — what’s working, what isn’t, where the real opportunity is sitting. From inside your own, it’s murky, and you second-guess what you can usually see clearly for everyone else.

Even on the days it is clear, there’s no time left over. By the time you’ve made it through everything that’s urgent today, the things that actually matter never get touched.

You’ve handed the to-do list to a VA before, and spent longer writing the SOP than it would have taken to just do the thing yourself. You’ve sat in coaching sessions that left you with more ideas and exactly the same amount of time to act on any of them, still needing to be the one who worked out what actually mattered in the first place.

The goals list keeps rolling from one quarter to the next, not because the ideas were wrong, but because nobody with real capacity or real outside perspective was ever actually in it with you. You’re the strategist, the doer and the one who has to remember what was decided last time, all at once, with no one looking at the whole picture from outside, and something in that stack always ends up dropping.

Most support only ever fixes half of this

A coach can see your business clearly, because she’s not standing in the middle of it every day, but she’s not going to spend her week doing the work alongside you. A VA can spend the hours, but only on what you’ve already worked out and handed across, so seeing it clearly still sits entirely with you.

What actually changes something is someone who gets close enough to your business to see it the way you already see everyone else’s, and has the actual hours in the week to move on it, without waiting for you to point it out first.

Introducing

OBM Support: a hybrid of mentoring and hands-on business support

This isn’t a strategy session that leaves you with a longer to-do list, and it isn’t a VA relationship where you’re still the one deciding, explaining and following up on everything. It’s a partnership: hands-on hours combined with regular working sessions where we look at what’s actually moving your business and get to work on it together.

Not every business moves at the same pace, so this runs two different ways. If your business has a lot of moving parts that need attention every week, we work monthly. If your business runs in seasons, built around launches rather than constant motion, we work quarterly instead.

A partnership, not a purchase.

Everything that happens across your hours together

Working sessions

A weekly or fortnightly session on the monthly rhythm, or two strategy sessions on the quarterly rhythm — with the thinking already done before you arrive.

Hands-on execution

Real hours spent on systems, launches, tech, marketing oversight, SOPs and project management — the operational work that needs a capable pair of hands, not just advice on it.

Claude & AI systems support

Folded straight into how we run things wherever it genuinely saves time, handled as part of the work rather than a separate add-on.

Support between sessions

Slack and email support so you’re never sitting on a question until the next session.

A written summary

A short recap after each session, so nothing depends on either of us remembering it.

Why a VA and a coach were never going to solve this on their own

Coaching alone leaves you with a to-do list that rarely gets done, because insight without capacity is just more insight, and you’re still the one who has to spot what actually matters before you can act on any of it.

A VA alone means the list has to come from you in the first place, which means you’re still the one carrying the strategy, the priorities and the follow-up.

This sits between the two, deliberately. I get to know how your business runs, so I can see what’s actually going on from outside it in a way you can’t from inside it, and I have real hours to actually execute what we decide, so it doesn’t just sit on a list waiting for a version of you with more time.

How it actually works

1. We map what’s actually going on

We start with a working session that looks at your business from outside it, not just what feels urgent today.

2. You get real hours to move it

Monthly or quarterly, the hours go straight to execution — systems, launches, tech, the operational work itself.

3. Nothing depends on memory

A written summary and Slack support between sessions mean the plan doesn’t live only in your head, or only in mine.

This is for you if:

  • You’re an established founder, generating six figures or getting close to it
  • You’re running a small team or no team at all
  • You’ve reached the point where doing it all yourself has genuinely stopped working
  • You have real goals still sitting on the list, and what you’re missing isn’t another strategy, it’s someone with the context and the capacity to actually move them with you

This isn’t for you if:

  • What you actually want is a set curriculum or framework to follow
  • You’re looking for someone to simply take instructions without bringing any thinking of their own to the table
  • A six-month commitment doesn’t feel right yet — that’s a completely fair thing to know before we start, not after

“I don’t have to hold absolutely everything in my own head anymore”

Working with Zoe has honestly felt like having a business partner behind the scenes who genuinely cares about my business and wants to see it succeed... She is incredibly proactive, always looking for ways to make things work better, streamline processes, solve problems and help the business keep moving forward... One of the biggest shifts for me has been feeling like I don’t have to hold absolutely everything in my own head anymore. I know Zoe is there thinking alongside me, looking after so much of the Kajabi, systems and technical side, and helping me keep progressing.

“She thinks through problems deeply, and gets things done with no fuss... If you need someone to look at your business from many different angles — system, finance, website, marketing, structure — simultaneously and suggest and enact improvements, Zoe is your girl.”
